Hypnotists and Consulting Hypnotists use hypnotism for stress management, smoking cessation, weight management, fears, phobias, motivation, eliminating negative or unwanted habits, energy work, spirituality, facilitating learning, eliminating stage fright, improving athletic abilities, age regression, past-life regression, enhancing natural restorative and coping abilities, and all kinds of other social, educational and cultural endeavors.
Hypnotists and Consulting Hypnotists can provide hypnotic services for medical or mental health conditions only after evaluation by, and with the approval of, a licensed health care professional.
Practitioners who diagnose and treat physical and mental conditions must be licensed by their state to provide medical services. Hypnotists who use hypnotism in their medical practice are called “Hypnotherapists.”
